Ciprofloxacin (CIP) PK/PD in Experimental Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Depends on Time>MIC and not AUC24/MIC

Introduction:

Ciprofloxacin is widely used to treat UTI although resistance is increasing. The AUC/MIC ratio is considered the most important PK/PD index for effect, but whether this accounts for treatment of UTI has not been studied in detail.
